On May 12, 2026, the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Taichung University of Education (NTCU) of Taiwan to strengthen cooperation in the fields of digital education and teacher training. KERIS also welcomed a visiting delegation composed of faculty members from nine Taiwanese universities.
The two institutions identified key areas for collaboration, including the utilization of digital teaching and learning materials and systems, cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI) for teacher education, and the joint organization of forums and conferences. During their visit, the delegation toured the Seoul EdTech Soft Lab and Seoul National University of Education to experience Korea’s educational technology (EdTech) ecosystem firsthand.
Through this agreement, the two institutions are expected to work together to address the shared challenge of fostering future talent in the AI era, while opening a new chapter in Korea–Taiwan cooperation in digital education.
