On May 8, 2026, KERIS and Korea National Open University signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote innovation in remote higher education based on AI and data technologies.

Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to collaborate in various areas, including developing innovative models for university education and research using AI-based educational data analysis, establishing a foundation for AI Transformation (AX) in education, and exchanging human and material resources.

KERIS plans to use this agreement as an opportunity to accelerate the digital transformation of higher education in Korea and improve accessibility to AI-powered remote education.

KERIS will continue reflecting the voices of educational stakeholders and actively work to create educational environments in which future generations can coexist with AI and fully demonstrate their competencies.
